Today, domain registration is read through RDAP, the registries’ own public protocol, and Australian company numbers (ACN) and business numbers (ABN) are validated by their published checksum. Identity, licence and warning registries — ASIC, the Australian Business Register, IP Australia — are not yet connected, so those parts of a check are reported as not checked.

How VILIQ talks about risk
VILIQ reports what it observed. It does not accuse anyone of an offence on the strength of an automated check, and it does not describe a business as fraudulent because a score came back low.

Nothing found is not a pass
If VILIQ cannot reach a registry, it tells you it did not check. If it checked and found nothing, it tells you it found nothing — and says plainly that this is not evidence of wrongdoing, only that there is nothing available to verify against. A score computed on thin coverage is capped, so two strong signals out of nine can never read as “strong”.
